QUALITY STANDARDS
Since 1st July 2013, the majority of European Union member states have replaced the Construction Products Directive (CPD) with the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) meets two fundamental objectives:
- Establish a legal statute that makes the regulation equally compulsory in every EU member state, without requiring its transposition into national law.
- Incorporate changes made based on feedback on the enforcement of the CPD.
Products covered by the CPR
A construction product is a product that is incorporated into a building or structure in a sustainable manner. It may be conform to a Harmonised European Standard (hEN), or be certified to a European Technical Assessment (ETA – current equivalent of the European Technical Approval). All construction products must be accompanied by a Declaration of Performance (DoP).
What is a declaration of performance?
The declaration of performance provides information on the declared values for key product characteristics, together with the reference of the CE certificate delivered by a notified body depending on the level.
These panels have a reinforced concrete core coated with a layer of sound-absorbing wood fibre cement with vertical or horizontal grooving. Their surface relief gives them very high acoustic performance.
